Commonly Used Abbreviated Terms
ASVAB-a career exploratory test that is used by the armed forces to match your intelligence with a particular field of specialization. Higher scores generally lead to more career options.
ROTC- Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is to prepare young men and women to serve in the military. ROTC offers scholarships in the three branches: Army, Navy, and Air Force. After you finish college, you must complete a period of service in the military.
MGIB- The Montgomery GI Bill is a form of educational assistance that was created in order for veterans to receive financial aid for higher education. Amounts vary based on branch and service length.
